Samantha Johnson
Office Manager
Samantha joined the Olson Eye Care team in 2016 as Dr. Olson’s technician. She then learned the ins and outs of optical while attending classes at UNO to obtain her bachelor’s degree. She has also completed medical billing courses and became the office’s billing specialist and Office Manager. Her goal is to help better the office in any way she can and make sure that every patient who comes into the office is satisfied with their visit. In September of 2018 Samantha married her husband Tanner and they have since welcomed two little boys into their growing family. In their free time, Samantha and her family enjoy spending time outside, going on walks, exploring new activities, and spending time with the rest of the family.
Julie Smith
Optician
Julie is Olson Eye Care’s optical expert. She has been working in the eyeglass industry for more than 23 years and has a sincere passion for eyewear. She loves helping her patients select the perfect frame and lens options to truly complement their appearance and improve daily visual performance. Julie has excellent customer service skills and compassion for others. Outside of work Julie enjoys hanging out in her pool with her two kids, her friends and family, and listening to live music any chance she can. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering time by being the Merchandise Coordinator for 22 Veterans Suicide Awareness Group.
Jenna Mouritsen
Optometric Technician
Jenna has been part of the Olson Eye Care team as a technician since 2024, after being interested in the optometric field since childhood. She came to us with over 20 years experience in customer service with a strong medical office background. She is sincerely devoted to providing the very best care for our patients. Jenna is new to Iowa, having moved here from the Pacific Northwest. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the local area, hiking, and spending time with her family and 2 dogs, as well as continuing her education and training in the optometric field.
